It says the data comes from publicly available information Democracy Works collects from state and local election sources. Anthropic told Reuters that conversations touching broadly on politics, policy or social issues make up about 5.75% of US conversations on Claude.ai, citing analysis of 250,000 conversations, that about 0.51% are about elections or voting, and that requests for advice on how to vote are about 0.01%.

Bloomberg Law reported that Anthropic is also working with the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and the McCain Institute to test its election abuse protections, and added classifiers to spot misuse.

Watch for the feature to go live on Claude.ai later this month, and whether its answers on polling places and ID rules prove accurate across states.

On October 14, NVIDIAAI posted: So many models launching this week! And we have one of our own coming, followed by an hourglass emoji and a reaction clip of a man clapping excitedly.

The post does not say what kind of model it is, whether it will be open weight, or when it will arrive. The week saw several releases covered in this deck and the previous day's, including Gemini 4 Argon from Google and Grok Voice 3.0 from SpaceXSI.

Nvidia already publishes open models under the Nemotron name, and its press release at SEMICON West on October 14 said partners such as Synopsys and Cadence use Nemotron open models in chip design agents. According to fofr, the video was made by Argon, and the music, time synced to the animation, came from Google's Lyria 3.5 model prompted by Argon. Fofr's post had about 823,000 views when checked.

A pelican riding a bicycle is a long running informal test for new models, popularized by developer Simon Willison, in which people ask for a drawing of that scene to see how well a model handles code and spatial layout. Fofr's version adds a mathematical twist, since Fourier epicycles require the model to work out the math of the curves rather than simply draw them.

On October 14, AI at Meta posted: We're exploring how AI can accelerate health science research. It wrote that health data science depends on imperfect real world data and consequential choices about cohorts, variables and causal assumptions, unlike formal sciences such as mathematics.

Meta said it built a human led research scaffold powered by Muse Spark 1.3 and Muse Wonder with access to 5 million retrospective, de identified electronic health records and public data. A cohort of medical experts used it to conduct original research, generate hypotheses, run code and draft manuscripts while keeping full authority over scientific decisions.

Meta's research blog says the researchers had backgrounds in cardiology, epidemiology, infectious disease and internal medicine and worked over four weeks. Each paper got feedback from peers, review by a biostatistician and summary reviews from contracted independent experts, which are shown below each paper.

One manuscript analyzes a rare fungal infection, finding 21 patients with confirmed or probable cases in brain or lung samples. Another, on sequential breast cancer drug orders, describes its analyses as descriptive and unadjusted. Meta did not name the provider of the licensed records database.

Watch whether any of the 10 manuscripts are submitted to and accepted by peer reviewed journals, and whether outside researchers can reproduce the findings.
